Technau Group - Molecular developmental genetics of Cnidaria

Uli Technau studied biology at the Universities of Wuerzburg, Mainz, Toulouse and Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. He received his Diploma in Developmental Biology, Botany, Biochemistry and Immunology at the University of Munich. In 1995 he obtained his PhD at the University of Frankfurt. In 1996 he joined the lab of Hans Bode at the University of California at Irvine as a Postdoc. From 1998-2004 he was employed as Assistant professor at the Darmstadt University of Technology (Germany). In 2002 he obtained his habilitation and venia legendi for Zoology and Molecular Biology. He has been a Group leader at the Sars Centre for Marine Molecular Biology since September 2004.
